Dracul Maquette (finished sculpt and details!)

I got his eye patch made (string will be cut to length at the end), his clothes on, and his hair finally done!  Hurray!  Wanted to go ahead and take pictures in case if the unfortunate unforeseen happens when I bake, spray, or paint him.  And don't worry, I'm not going to bake him with the eyepatch (which is made of vinyl and string) on.  I've already caught a tea bag on fire today; I've had enough with fire.

Dracul Maquette! (Halfway there)

...On sculpting.

I'm getting there, and so far am happy with his progress.  I finished smoothing everything out, now to finish adding his clothes, and give him hair.

*Another lesson I learned while making this maquette (this time the hard way).  When you pack up your craft pasta machine, take the handle off before taking it up from the table.  If it falls, the metal part can hit you square on the ankle bone and give you a painful goose-egg on it.

Dracul Maquette! (Progress on the face)

Finally, I spent the past few days when I worked on him mainly working on making his face.  It was a pain, but I'm happy with how it is turning out.  Hopefully everyone else finds him as creepy as I do.

All that is left on his face is his hair, and I'm going to try to make his eye patch out of some vinyl and string that I have.

Also, something important I learned, if you're making a maquette and the character has a big nose, make the mouth, then the nose.  It was difficult to work around his nose.

Dracul Maquette! (Beginning)

A few days ago I met up with my friend, Melanee, and we had a maquette-making party (hanging out, making maquettes, and chatting it up).  I started my maquette of my character, Dracul, and this is what I got done that day (surprisingly more than I had thought I would).

Melanee came up with the most ingenious idea of using beads to make the eyes.

I'll post up more pics as I get more done on him.

So, Yeah, This Happened...

After catching up on Season 2, I really had the biggest urge to draw my character, Celestrial DarkMoon, as a 'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic' character.  First it started as a sketch to appease my strange desire, however, I liked it so much that I inked it, and that lead me to want to put color flats on it.

I'm still proud of it.  I think I did well studying the drawing style, but still managed to put some of myself in it too.

Those things coming off of him are his aura 'hands' which appear when he goes "berserk".  Yes I know, the mark is a moon, but hey, given his name, it can't be helped.  I designed it based off of the blades of his double ended glaives.

After drawing him, I still wanted to draw more-mainly because I was proud of his turn out, that I drew another one of my characters, DarkChaos as one of the characters.

Again, I wanted to simulate the style, but still keep myself in it.  He turned out pretty good.
